Resting in Radiance.

Rest.

Something missing in much of life today.  Running, striving, worrying.  That's more familiar for most of us.  But God has called us to rest in Him, in the peace found in total surrender and trust in our Creator and Sustainer.

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken." Psalm 62:5-6 NIV

Radiance.

The word itself brings a warm sunshiny feeling.

We are called to be a light, as children of God (Eph. 5:8-10).  To be that radiance, bringing the warmth of love & brightness of joy into the daily interactions, challenges, and sweet memory-making moments in life.  May He make it true in us to be just that. Radiant.

"The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous." Psalm 19:8-9 NIV

Thus, the thoughts behind the name of this little place on the web. 
A place where we hope to share moments of joy, found in seeking to live life fully for our Lord.
It is in Him true life, rest, and radiance are found.
Oh, and of course that feeling the title creates,
painting a picture in our minds of some R&R under the rays of golden sunshine ;)
