Each summer, Katelyn and I spend some special time at our Grandparent's houses. A few weekends ago, I went to Grandpa Jim and Grandma Ionne's house. I left the day that my summer class ended. :) I had so much fun! Grandma and I sure keep busy...a few minutes after I arrived and said hello, enduring a little teasing from Grandpa (it was my first trip out of town driving by myself), anyway, right away we started planning what projects we would work on. We decided to finish, or try to finish, a small flannel quilt that I had started on from fabric my aunt gave me and I wanted to make an apron. This is where the reason for this post comes in...Mindy this picture is for you! Here is my almost finished apron (I am still going to attach the top and bottom ;), add more rick-rack above the waistband, and do a few more finishing touches...).
This is a sneak peak of my almost finished quilt.
We also baked some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (a must at Grandma's house) and bars while I was there! I love baking and sewing at Grandma's house!
